Advertise By Design web design

You've got a website, designed it and submitted it to the search engines and directories so .....
NOW WHAT?

Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your website
None of these will cost you any money, and they will all help to publicise your website and drive traffic to it.
  1. Always use an email address associated with your website, rather than a generic one (eg info@advertisebydesign.co.uk rather than advertisebydesign@aol.com).

  2. Whenever you send an email, attach a signature saying who you are, what your company does and linking to your website, eg

    .

  3. Send an email to all your existing customers, telling them about your new website.

  4. If your products change frequently or your site updates regularly with new or seasonal information, why not send out a newsletter. Ask if people would like to opt in and always add how to be removed from your mailing list.

  5. Organise reciprocal links with complimentary businesses. (Don't use any of the link exchange or link farms as these may get your website removed from reputable search engines).

  6. When you have your new stationery printed, add your website and email address to it.

  7. Include your website address on all the advertising that you do, newspapers, magazines, radio.

  8. If relevant, add information to your site that is useful to your visitors and pertinent to your business, eg if you are a local guest house or hotel, say what attractions there are around and how to get there, if you are a local decorator, give tips on how to go about decorating a room. If someone wants to do it themself, they will anyway, but if it shows that you know what you are talking about, then maybe they'll use you instead, or recommend you.

  9. Check the title of your website - does it say who you are and what you do (in 10 - 12 words )? Does it have unnecessary spaces - W E B S I T E is merely 7 individual letters to a search engine, not the word website.

AND FINALLY:
Check if your site is optimised here

These are all quite simple ideas, which take little time or effort and may seem obvious, but are frequently overlooked.

Help like this, and much more, is just part of the "value added" service that you receive when you have a website designed by us.
